McAfee GroupShield for Domino 7.0

As manufacturers release new operating systems, platforms, and Service Packs, the original Product Guides might not reflect the current support policy for those platforms.
Most of the following information is available in the Product Installation Guides and Readme.Txt files. However, some of the information is available only in Product Management Statements published in the Knowledge Base.

IMPORTANT: GroupShield 7.0 for Lotus Domino has been rebranded to Security for Lotus Domino 7.5. All issues found since the release of GroupShield 7.0 Patch 2 are resolved in this version. Intel Security recommends that you upgrade to the new release.

To review all known Security for Lotus Domino 7.5 issues:
  • At Released To World (RTW), refer to the Release Notes document in PD21876.
  • At post release, refer to the Release Notes (Addendum) article KB66217.
To review the supported environments article for Security for Lotus Domino (Windows), see KB66972.

* GroupShield 7.0 for Domino (with Patch 1 or 2) does not have native 64-bit support. Lotus Domino versions 8.01 and later come with two installers; one 64-bit and the other 32-bit. If Lotus Domino is running in 32-bit mode on a 64-bit Windows Server, GroupShield will install and be supported. However, the installation will fail and not be supported if both the Domino Server and Windows operating system are both 64-bit.

IMPORTANT: McAfee Security for Lotus Domino now provides support for full 64-bit Domino and Windows.

** Windows 2008 is fully supported in McAfee Security For Domino released on August 17, 2009.
***  Since IBM have withdrawn support for Domino 6.x. and 7.x  (see KB71337) and Win 2000 is below system requirements for Domino 8.x version therefore is no longer supported.
**** Windows 2008 SBS is not yet supported. Intel Security product development is testing this platform and will announce the support when testing is complete.
