Summary

This article describes the steps to take when common SaaS Endpoint Protection error messages are displayed.

Solution

Error Cause Solution
A file needed to install the software is not available.
Please click the installation URL to begin the installation process again.
The cookie has expired. Re-download the install file and restart the installation process.
Cannot find remote shared directory File and Print sharing is disabled. Enable File and Print sharing on the client computer you are pushing the installation to.
The user does not have sufficient rights to push the installation   Ensure the user has appropriate administrator rights to perform a push installation.
Installation cannot progress because you have selected not to accept a vital agent component, you don't have administrative rights to your machine, or other issues occurred

Installation Denied
The browser security level is too high. Set the browser security level to Medium or Medium‑High.
The browser is blocking ActiveX controls   Click the bar at the top of the installation Denied page and select Install ActiveX Control.
Then, restart the installation.
The user does not have sufficient rights   Ensure the user has administrator rights.
A registry key or file is missing. User ProcMon to narrow down the particular key(s) or file(s)   Replace the missing file using the Windows installation media or by copying it from another computer with the same operating system.
Invalid Entitlement Error The user is using the incorrect URL to install the client software. Ensure that the URL is correct, complete, and contains no spaces.
The user does not have enough licenses   Purchase more licenses.
The user's trial subscription has expired   Install a licensed copy of the software.
MyASUtil.SecureObjectFactory error message The MyASUtil.SecureObjectFactory file has been corrupted. Uninstall and reinstall the software.
MyINX error message An existing virus protection application has been detected on the computer. Uninstall the existing virus protection software, including McAfee Total Protection services, and restart the installation.
Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page The browser is set to block ActiveX controls. Click the bar at the top of the installation Denied page and select Install ActiveX Control.
Then, restart the installation.
Unable to connect to the Total Protection update server The computer cannot connect to the Internet. Check the computer's Internet connection or network settings if it connects through a relay server.
The browsers security level is too high   Set the browser security level to Medium or Medium‑High.
The browsers cache is full   Clear the browser cache.
