Using ENS Threat Prevention and VSE in a Microsoft Cluster environment
ENS Threat Prevention and VSE support a shared disk model and as such, do not interfere with the failover process on a Microsoft Cluster. But, the On Access Scanning service is not a cluster service and is not installed as a failover group resource.
Functionality Explained
ENS Threat Prevention and VSE install on each system or node in the cluster, and scan as they would on any other server. If a node fails, the surviving nodes with ENS Threat Prevention and VSE installed continue to operate as usual. The same is true when the node that failed comes back online - ENS Threat Prevention and VSE installed on it operate normally.
