About the Feedback script
Usually, the first thing needed by Technical Support to debug an issue with the MWG software is a Feedback file. The Feedback file is a zipped archive that results from running the Feedback script. This archive contains important information about the MWG installation and operating system such as:
- Parts of the MWG configuration
- Log files of the MWG installation
- Free hard disk drive space on the operating system
- Memory usage of MWG and other processes
- Network interface configuration and routing information
- Thread and socket usage statistics for the MWG process
A Feedback file helps Technical Support troubleshoot an issue as quickly as possible.

When to run the Feedback script
A Support Engineer will typically advise customers as to when a Feedback file should be collected. Generally, a Feedback script should be executed while an issue occurs or shortly after an issue is replicated. If a restart or reboot of MWG is needed to alleviate an issue, the Feedback file should be collected before you restart or reboot the MWG. If you are unsure, ask the Support Engineer.
