McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator 4.6
McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator 4.5

Problem 1

The error below is displayed in the Server Task Log Details after an ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) 4.5 Server Task was created and executed based on a query:

<task_name> (command.export.queries.not.authorized)

Problem 2

The error below is recorded in orion.log:

2009-06-18 14:14:52,831 ERROR [mfs:pool-2-thread-3] scheduler.Engine  - task [New Task] failed with exception

An ePO 4.5 Server Task was created based on a query that was later deleted. After the relevant query is deleted, the Server Task can still be executed but fails and reports the error.

The error message is misleading as it says Authorization failed where it would be more helpful if the error reported stated the query has been deleted or the query does not exist

This issue is resolved in ePO 4.6, which is available from the Product Downloads site at: http://mcafee.com/us/downloads/downloads.aspx. For instructions on how to download patches, see KB56057.

Patches are cumulative; therefore, Intel Security recommends that you install the latest one.
The Server Task log will now display: New Task (The query was deleted!).
