Scan64.exe crashes when initiated using Scan for Threats from Explorer

Scan64.exe crashes when the user tries to scan a file or folder by right-clicking, then scanning for threats. This issue has been reported on Windows 7 64-bit, but could occur on other platforms.

The following error is reported:

Title: c_program_files_(x86)_mcafee_virusscan_enterprise_x64_scan64.exe

The intruction at 0x77296e9f referenced memory at 0x340000000. The memory could not be read.
Click OK to terminate the program.


This issue has been resolved with Patch 3 for VirusScan Enterprise 8.7i.
