McAfee Endpoint Encryption for Files and Folders 3.2.1, 3.2.2

You see the following random error if you try to create a document or folder on an encrypted network share:

Access denied

This issue occurs when the option Load ALL keys available to a user at logon is disabled. If this issue occurs, you are prompted with the expected logon screen, but see the error after authentication.


If multiple folder policies are present and Load ALL keys available to a user at logon is disabled, Endpoint Encryption for Files and Folders might fail to locate the correct key.


This issue is resolved in Endpoint Encryption for Files and Folders 3.2.4 and later. This is available from the McAfee download site using a valid Grant Number.

 You will need a valid Grant Number for access. KB56057 provides additional information about the Product Downloads site, as well as alternate locations for some products.
