Host IPS 8.0 Extension 8.0.6.978 or later must be used with ePO 5.1.3 or 5.3.1 and later versions. For details, see Host IPS 8.0.0 Patch 6 Release Notes. The Host IPS 8.0 Extension 8.0.6.978 can be installed on other supported ePO versions, but specifically for ePO 5.1.3 and 5.3.1, you must use the 8.0.6.978 extension. ePO 5.1.3 and 5.3.1 do not support any Host IPS extension versions before 8.0.6.978.

IMPORTANT:Microsoft ended extended support for Windows XP SP3 on April 8, 2014. Windows XP is not supported with Host IPS 8.0. Host IPS 8.0 Patch 7 is the last Patch that can install on these systems. Only customers with extended support contracts are permitted to use the product on Windows XP. See your extended support contract for details. In addition, Windows Embedded Point of Service (POS) Ready 2009 is not supported because this release has the same kernel as Windows XP. Windows 10 Enterprise for Virtual Desktops is a version of Windows 10 Enterprise that incorporates some Windows Server technology. This technology allows multiple remote desktop sessions simultaneously. Windows Virtual Desktop runs on the Microsoft Azure Cloud environment. Windows Virtual Desktop provides a multi-session Windows 10 deployment that delivers a full Windows 10 with scalability for many users on the same system.

Virtual Private Network (VPN) client software compatibility with Host IPS 8.0 Host IPS 8.0 software adheres to the protocol standards.
Most VPN client software functions with the Host IPS 8.0 software, but, we are unable to test every VPN client software version and vendor. If you encounter specific issues with a VPN client, first determine whether the issue is a Host IPS 8.0 firewall policy or VPN Client configuration related. If the issue can't be resolved through policy or configuration for either the VPN product or Host IPS 8.0, do the following:
