Fatal error code c0000022 (access denied) for operation (after Windows Service Pack 1 is installed and the system is restarted)

Host Intrusion Prevention (Host IPS) 8.0
Summary
Host IPS 8.0 includes a feature called Startup IPS protection.
This feature is disabled by default. If enabled, it applies a hard-coded set of file and registry protection rules until the Host IPS service has fully started on the client.
Problem
Microsoft Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1) installation successfully completes, and the first restart begins. But, after the restart, all activity stops and you see the following error:
ERROR: "Fatal error code c0000022 (access denied) for operation"
Workaround
Disable the Startup IPS Protection option from the Host IPS 8.0 IPS Options policy before you install Windows 7 SP1.
