As Microsoft releases new operating systems or Service Packs, the original Product Guides might not reflect the current support policy for those platforms. Most of the following information is available in the Product Installation Guides and Readme.txt files. However, some of the information is available only in Product Management statements published in the Knowledge Base.

NOTE: With the release of Endpoint Encryption for Files and Folders 4.0, McAfee made changes to allow Key Encipherment as a certificate type. This allows a certificate type of either Data Encipherment, Key Encipherment, or both, to be used with these versions and later. For details, see KB79286.

1 McAfee identified an issue in the client code that, over time, can result in systems becoming unresponsive. McAfee had to temporarily remove EEFF 4.1 Patch 1 (Build release from the Product Downloads site and the ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) Software Catalog.
2 For the End of Life announcement for EEFF 4.0.x, see KB82234
3 For the End of Life announcement for EEFF 4.1.x, see KB83012.
4 This hotfix extension is recommended for customers using EEFF 4.2 with ePO 5.0.1 or ePO 5.1. It addresses two ePO compliance issues.
5 Resolves non-paged memory being consumed and causing an unresponsive system. For details, see KB78173.
NOTE: Release Notes have also been updated and reposted.

If you require this functionality, see the Related Information section of this article for instructions to submit a Product Enhancement Request (PER) to have this researched for implementation in a future product or patch release.
