Unable to access mfeeerm.exe through a Remote Desktop Protocol Session
Technical Articles ID:   KB73254
Last Modified:  5/21/2019

McAfee Removable Media Protection (FRP) 5.x, 4.3.x
McAfee Removable Media Protection (offsite access options)

For details of FRP supported environments, see KB81149.

If you use a Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) to access a remote system where the client local drives are mapped to the host computer. And you browse to a Removable Media Protected initialized USB device, you cannot run mfeeerm.exe.

This issue is expected because mfeeerm.exe expects the drive to be shown as Removable. But, the RDP session makes it show as a network drive.
