Problem

The SiteAdvisor Enterprise (SAE) 3.5 browser balloon is shown in orange.

You do not see a rating when SAE 3.5 resides behind a proxy.
Using the Troubleshooting SiteAdvisor Communication Errors option shows the following:

Internet Access
Green checkmark
SiteAdvisor Server Available
Green checkmark

 
Explanation
The SiteAdvisor servers are up and responding to requests, but SiteAdvisor cannot access the Internet.

Possible Resolution
This might indicate that the SiteAdvisor proxy server policy settings are configured incorrectly.

Solution

This issue was addressed in SAE 3.5 Patch 1. Upgrade to the latest patch level.

NOTE: You need a valid Grant Number for access. KB56057 provides additional information about the Product Downloads site, and alternate locations for some products.

Workaround

Set the proxy bypass for all IP addresses on the GTI servers (sae.gti.mcafee.com). 

Use NSlookup on saelist.gti.mcafee.com to find the current IP address list. For instructions on NSlookup, see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/200525.
