McAfee VirusScan Enterprise (VSE) 8.x Microsoft Windows System Restore 概要
System Restore is a Microsoft feature that can revert system files and programs to an earlier version. Restore points also contain information about registry settings and other system information that Windows uses. For information about the System Restore function, see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306084.
問題
Performing a System Restore to a point before the latest VSE installation or upgrade can result in a corrupted VSE installation.
原因The System Restore function can remove system changes that might have resulted in system instability. But, this removal can result in the removal of core components needed for VSE to function properly.
System Restores are designed to remove or revert system changes to a previous state. McAfee products are subject to operating system changes and settings during a system restore. If this removal includes changes made by VSE during the installation or update process, changes are lost. Then, the installation can be corrupted. 解決策
Do not restore to a point earlier than the latest VSE installation. Use system administrator rights to disable the System Restore function where applicable.
解決策If you are forced to perform a System Restore action that results in a corrupted installation of VSE, you must uninstall and reinstall VSE. The product can generally be removed through Programs and Features or Apps & features (depending on your version of Windows). If you can't remove the product through Windows, see the following manual removal articles:
