NOTES:
  • A version of most of the following information is available in the relevant product guides and readme.txt files. • This article provides the latest information about MCP supported environments. Some of this information is made available through linked Product Management statements, which are also published in the Knowledge Base.

Hardware requirements for end-user computers
  MCP 2.x
CPU N/A
RAM 1 GB or higher (2 GB recommended)
Hard Disk Space 300 MB minimum free (500 MB recommended)

Network requirements
Internet access is needed to communicate with configured proxy servers. If no proxy servers are available, MCP passes all requests to their original location.

Proxy servers
SaaS or Web Gateway exposed to Internet access.

SaaS Web Protection 1.x If you did not previously use a SaaS proxy, you must create a SaaS account and configure the policy.

The SaaS user creation form is attached to your MCP invitation email. Fill in the form and send it to SaaS.
Web Gateway MWG allows you to use policies based on User Name and User Group.

Software compatibility
  • The product team expects no issues with MCP and Windows Terminal Services, but this view has not been tested, and so cannot be supported.

  • As of June 2017, the MCP Extension supports the same browsers as the installed version of ePolicy Orchestrator.
Browser support differs between ePO releases. See KB51569 for further information.
