McAfee Endpoint Encryption File Encryptor (all versions)

Date: March 7, 2012

This announcement is to inform McAfee customers using  the Endpoint Encryption File Encryptor about the End of Sale (EOS) and End of Life (EOL) policies and dates.

NOTE: File Encryptor is a small application that allows an end user to create an encrypted self-extracting executable file. The executable version of the file could then be distributed to the appropriate recipients and decrypted with the correct password.

EOL/EOS Endpoint Encryption for File Encryptor
File Encryptor will reach End of Sale and End of Life on July 16, 2013. As of this date, technical support will no longer be provided for these versions.

Moving forward for existing customers
Customers can evaluate the functionality offered by Endpoint Encryption for Files and Folders (EEFF) 4.x. This product allows a user to encrypt a file and create a self-extracting version that can be distributed.
