Initial Appliance setup wizard cannot be correctly completed when accessed remotely

Environment

McAfee Email Gateway Appliance 7.0

Problem

When you perform the initial setup for McAfee Email Gateway, you access the setup wizard by directly connecting the keyboard, mouse, and monitor to the Appliance. 

If you access the Appliance through a LAN cable (RJ-45) and access the dashboard via a browser using the Appliance's factory default IP address, you are unable to successfully complete the Appliance initial setup wizard.

You can successfully log on to the Dashboard and start the setup wizard, but the browser terminates the setup and returns to the logon screen.

Solution

This issue is resolved in Email Gateway 7.0.3, which is available by logging in to the ServicePortal at: https://support.mcafee.com/downloads.

Patches are cumulative; therefore, McAfee recommends that you install the latest one.
