Administrators can use the following steps to disable this Windows 8 feature via a logon script:

1. From this article, detach disableautorecovery.zip.
2. Extract from the above file disableautorecovery.ps1.
3. Open Administrative Tools and select Group Policy Management.
4. Select the Default Domain Policy (or a suitably customized policy you are using for your domain computers).
5. Right-click and select Edit.
6. Click Computer Configuration, Policies, Windows Settings, Scripts (Startup/Shutdown).
7. Double-click Start-up and select PowerShell Scripts.
8. Click Add and browse to the location where you saved disableautorecovery.ps1. The policy is propagated to your computers within 90–120 minutes, according to the Windows default setting.
