Summary

Intel Security has released McAfee Application Control and McAfee Change Control 6.1 and requests that all customers running 5.1.x upgrade to this version to take advantage of the new improvements and features.

As such, Intel Security is announcing the End of Life (EOL) and End of Support (EOS) of prior 5.1.x versions according to the following schedule:

December 31, 2013:
  • McAfee Application Control 5.1.x on Windows (except NT, 2000), AIX, HPUX
  • McAfee Change Control 5.1.x on Windows (except NT, 2000), AIX, HPUX
  • McAfee Embedded Control 5.1.x on Windows (except NT, 2000), AIX, HPUX
December 31, 2015:
  • McAfee Application Control 5.1.x on RedHat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Linux, CentOS, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES)
  • McAfee Change Control 5.1.x on RedHat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Linux, CentOS, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES)
  • McAfee Embedded Control 5.1.x on RedHat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Linux, CentOS, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES)
  • McAfee Application Control 5.1.x on Windows NT, 2000
  • McAfee Change Control 5.1.x on Windows NT, 2000
  • McAfee Embedded Control 5.1.x on Windows NT, 2000

Definitions
End of Life Period  The timeframe that runs from the day Intel Security announces product discontinuation until the last date that the product is formally supported by Intel Security. In general, after the EOL Period is announced, no enhancements are made.
End of Life Date  The last day that the product is supported according the terms of the Intel Security standard support offering.
