Issue: Under certain circumstances, depending on the version of MSSQL being used and the contents of the ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) database, the Property Translator task fails to run.
Resolution: This issue is resolved in the Host IPS 8.0.0.563 Extension Update. SQL queries used in the Property Translator task are modified to prevent known failures. If you have very large databases, you might see a reduction in performance while running the Property Translator task as a result of this change. |

Issue: Rules migrated from Host IPS 7.0 might contain too many wildcards.
Resolution: This issue is resolved in the Host IPS 8.0.0.563 Extension Update. Although not officially supported, file paths in Host IPS 7.0 rules could contain double asterisk wildcards (c:/**/foo). After migrating to Host IPS 8.0, such paths would contain too many wildcards (c:/****/foo). Although this is not logically incorrect, it does not conform to our stated format. The policy migrator now prevents inappropriate double asterisks. See the related article for more information. |
