The article describes how to collect logs for troubleshooting any connectivity issues that occur when MCP is used for proxy redirection.
- Under Control Console Web Protection Policies, navigate to the McAfee Client Proxy Policies, then create a new MCP policy file. To create a new MCP policy file, either click New or copy the existing policy. To copy the existing policy, click the drop-down list next to New after you highlight the policy that you want to copy.
- Under the Details tab, set the Client Logging option to Display all messages (recommended for troubleshooting and debugging).
- Save the policy and download it to the system on which the logging level has to be increased.
- Rename the file to MCPPOLICY.OPG and save it to the location shown in the table below. The new policy is then active.
When you reproduce the issue, the log files are saved to the following locations:
