This support statement is provided by the Product Management Team.
This article covers support for peer-to-peer networking with FRP.
NOTE: In this article, peer-to-peer networking is the behavior of data exchange or access between FRP clients. For example, a client where FRP is installed copies data from a network share hosted by another client where FRP is installed.
McAfee is unable to support issues with peer-to-peer networking environments when FRP is installed.
While it is possible to use peer-to-peer networking, McAfee has
not undertaken any testing for this environment. So, it is unclear how this kind of environment behaves when using FRP. For example, there might be performance issues when browsing and opening files.
NOTE: Several customers have reported that it takes a long time to copy data through peer-to-peer. Also, searching files can show the wrong results.
The FRP team is reviewing the possibility of supporting peer-to-peer networking in a future release.
NOTE: The Ideas forum replaces the previous Product Enhancement Request system.
