McAfee Application Control (MAC) 6.1.2-346 (Controlled Release), 6.1.1
McAfee Change Control (MCC) 6.1.2-346 (Controlled Release), 6.1.1

Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)
Microsoft Windows Vista (32-bit)
Microsoft Windows 2008 (32-bit)

Summary

An incompatibility issue exists with other security products, such as anti-virus and encryption.

Problem

Your computer stops responding when booted with MAC/MCC enabled with a few security products installed. 

The following are the McAfee products for which the incompatibility is seen:
  • Data Loss Prevention Endpoint (DLPE) 9.3
  • VirusScan Enterprise (VSE) 8.8 P4 (Controlled Release - November 2013)
  • Host Intrusion Prevention (Host IPS) 8.0 P4 (Controlled Release - January 2013)

For McAfee products, incompatibility is only on the Windows 7 32-bit platform.

NOTE: There is no known impact on any other MAC and MCC releases at this time. 

Solution

This issue is resolved in the latest MAC/MCC 6.1.1, 6.1.2, and 6.1.3 patches.
