Blue screen error showing BugCheck 0x19 while accessing a .PST file through Microsoft Outlook
Technical Articles ID:   KB81218
Last Modified:  3/5/2014

McAfee Application Control (MAC) 6.1.2
McAfee Change Control (MCC) 6.1.2

Microsoft Windows (all supported versions)
Microsoft Outlook

You see a blue screen error (system crash) if you open a .PST file through Microsoft Outlook, and the .PST filename includes a tilde (~). This happens while a Windows name is created for the .PST file path.

You see the error, under following constraints, if you open a .PST file using outlook.exe with MAC/MCC 6.1.2 installed:
  • .PST file is located over network
  • .PST filename contains a tilde (~)

This issue is resolved in MAC / MCC 6.1.2 (build 379), which is currently available from the McAfee Downloads site.

McAfee product software, upgrades, maintenance releases, and documentation are available from the Product Downloads site at: http://www.mcafee.com/us/downloads/downloads.aspx.

NOTE: You need a valid Grant Number for access. KB56057 provides additional information about the Product Downloads site, and alternate locations for some products.
