McAfee Solidifier service does not install/register if the operating system is installed in a folder other than Windows
Technical Articles ID:   KB82357
Last Modified:  12/10/2015

McAfee Application Control (MAC) 6.1.3
McAfee Change Control (MCC) 6.1.3
Microsoft Windows (all supported versions)

The McAfee Solidifier service (scsrvc.exe) does not install or register during installation if the operating system is not installed in the Windows folder. When the installer tries to launch cmd.exe from the C:\Windows\System32 folder to install the service, scsrvc.exe fails because cmd.exe is present in a different folder.

This issue is resolved in MAC/MCC
