Amazon AWS environment CentOS 6.x RedHat 6.x SummaryMcAfee is pleased to announce the addition of support for Redhat 6.x and CentOS 6.x in the Amazon AWS environment.
This addition requires a two part solution due to a potential Kernel Panic issue while starting or running the nails service in the Amazon AWS environment:
If you use ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) to deploy VSEL 1.9, you must remove the original VSEL Deployment package from your repositories and replace it with this new package. You can also deploy the new package and hotfix combination in other supported Linux Distributions (listed in the package readme).
To request the new VSEL 1.9 package, contact Technical Support and reference this article number (KB82757) to have a support case created.
IMPORTANT: If you have already installed the Release-To-Web (RTW) version of VSEL 1.9 on Redhat 6.x or CentOS 6.x in the Amazon AWS environment, you must install Hotfix 977781 (available from the Product Downloads site) to add support for this environment.
McAfee product software, upgrades, maintenance releases, and documentation are available from the Product Downloads site at: https://www.mcafee.com/enterprise/en-us/downloads/my-products.html.
NOTE: You need a valid Grant Number for access. See KB56057 - How to download Enterprise product updates and documentation for more information about the Product Downloads site, and alternate locations for some products. Affected ProductsLanguages:Glossary of Technical Terms |
