IMPORTANT: In the Control Panel, Programs and Features or Apps & features (depending on your version of Windows), the ENS modules show the version 10.6.11907. This design is intentional. This numbering allows the ENS 10.6.1 July Update Repost to upgrade from any other 10.6.1 Update version.
This update has been changed from General Availability (GA) to Released to Support (RTS). The reason is the issue described in KB91642 - Reboot loop with Endpoint Security 10.6.1 July Update. This update is available only by contacting Technical Support.
See the "Related Information" section below for contact details.
The following table indicates the client operating systems and minimum Service Pack levels that ENS supports. The minimum supported Service Pack levels align with the minimum Service Pack levels supported by Microsoft. When Microsoft ends support for a Service Pack, ENS support for that Service Pack also ends, and you must upgrade to a supported Service Pack. For information about the lifecycle for Windows operating systems and Service Packs, see Windows Lifecycle FAQ.
NOTE:Where applicable, both 32-bit and 64-bit versions are implied. Exceptions are noted explicitly.
Semi-Annual Channel (SAC) - The previous names for this branch were Current Branch (CB) and Current Branch for Business (CBB).
Long-Term Servicing Channel (LTSC) - The previous name for this branch was Long-Term Servicing Branch (LTSB).
For details about branches, see Windows 10 branches. 4CAUTION:If Device Guard or Credential Guard is enabled on a Windows 10 Creators Update 64-bit system, you must make sure that Microsoft KB4016251 is installed on the system before you install our products. 5Microsoft ended mainstream support for Windows 7 on January 13, 2015 and will end extended support on January 14, 2020. For details, see the Windows 7 End of Support page. For best results and optimal security, upgrade to a newer supported operating system.

For details, see the Windows Lifecycle FAQ page. 7 ENS 10.6.x and later aren't supported on Windows 10 version 1507 and Windows 10 version 1511. The reason is a known issue with Antimalware Scan Interface (AMSI) that's resolved in Windows 10 Version 1607. 8 Starting with ENS 10.6.1 and 10.7.0 April 2021 Update, the minimum required version is Windows 7 SP1 with KB4474419 and KB4490628.

ENS doesn't support Universal Windows Platform (UWP) and there are no current plans to support UWP.

For details, see the Windows Lifecycle FAQ page. 7 The ENS 10.6.1 July Update (and later) installer allows a fresh installation of ENS on a system with Windows 10 May 2019 Update (version 1903). ENS 10.6.1 May Update doesn't allow a fresh installation of ENS on a system with Windows 10 May 2019 Update (version 1903). The reason is because they don't have a .msi package. ENS 10.6.1 May Update only allows an upgrade to Windows 10 May 2019 Update (version 1903). 8 ENS 10.6.x and later aren't supported on Windows 10 version 1507 and Windows 10 version 1511. 1 Windows 2012 R2 Foundation Server is supported. 2No longer supported by Microsoft.
Microsoft ended extended support for Windows Server 2003 SP2 on July 14, 2015. As of the end of 2015, the only product we support with Windows Server 2003 SP2 is Application and Change Control.
3 Microsoft ended extended support for Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2 on January 14, 2020. ENS hasn't provided support for Windows Server 2008 since ENS 10.2.x, which is End of Life (EOL). ENS provided continued support for Windows Server 2008 R2 until December 31, 2021. Extended support options are available for designated ENS versions until December 31, 2023. For details, see KB91432 - Support for Windows 7/Server 2008/2008 R2 after January 2020. 4 Starting with ENS 10.6.1 and 10.7.0 April 2021 Update, the minimum required version is Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 with KB4474419 and KB4490628.
Because of the high frequency with which Chrome and Firefox browsers are released, new browser versions might break ENS Web Control support for Chrome or Firefox. The next ENS update release will target adding back support for the browser.
ENS Web Control isn't 64-bit and doesn't support native 64-bit browsers, but it supports 64-bit browsers in 32-bit mode.
Enhanced Protected Mode in Internet Explorer isn't supported.
System hardware requirements are subject to change, and are influenced by updates, hotfixes, and DAT files that are applied.
ENS 10.6.1 and 10.7.0 April 2021 Update and later support Hardware-enforced Stack Protection (HSP). For more information about HSP, see Understanding HSP. HSP allows applications to use the local CPU hardware to protect their code while running inside the CPU memory. HSP only works on Intel chipsets with Intel Control-flow Enforcement Technology (Intel CET). For more information, see Intel CET.
CPU or RAM - The CPU requirement is a minimum of a Single Core. We recommend aDual Core Intel Pentium processor or compatible architecture. The following specifications are subject to change. The processor specifications are a recommended guideline, but aren't a hard requirement. Only x86 and AMD64 (x64) CPU architectures are supported. ENS doesn't support ARM processors.

ENS supports Microsoft Resilient File System (ReFS).1
1 ENS doesn't support the case-sensitivity feature of ReFS. Enabling this feature causes issues with ENS. We don't provide any recommendations in general on how to configure file systems. For more information, see this Microsoft article.
