McAfee Application Control (MAC) 6.1.3
Microsoft Windows (all supported versions)

The following Windows message appears about the paging file configuration after the system is solidified and rebooted to enable MAC:
Windows created a temporary paging file on your computer because of a problem that occurred with your paging file configuration when you started your computer. The total paging file size for all disk drives may be somewhat larger than the size you specified.
  • The message appears only once after the system is solidified and rebooted. The message does not appear again after a consecutive reboot.
  • The message does not appear when using reboot free activation.

There are two ways to avoid this issue:
  • Reboot the system again after the initial reboot is performed to enable MAC.
  • Add the following configuration before the system is solidified:
    • sadmin skiplist add -s <system drive>\pagefile.sys
    • sadmin skiplist add -i \pagefile.sys
Contact Technical Support if the issue persists after applying the above-mentioned configuration.
