Environment

McAfee Endpoint Security (ENS) Firewall 10.x

Summary

This article describes the syntax to use to specify an IP address range in the ENS user interface.

Problem

The ENS user interface has only one field to represent a range of IP addresses.

Solution

When you create a new rule in the ENS user interface, use the following IP address range syntax:

x.x.x.x – x.x.x.x

NOTE: The dash (–) is the delimiter between the starting and ending IP addresses in the range.

Example:

123.123.1.0 – 123.123.255.255
