This article explains the differences between the Unknown, Not Set, and Not Available TIE reputation settings:
- Unknown: The reputation for this subject is 50. The reputation provider knows about the subject and has determined it cannot convict or clear this subject.
- Not Set: The reputation provider does not have a reputation for the subject, which usually happens because the reputation provider has never encountered the subject before. In circumstances where a known certificate has signed an executable file, the reputation for the certificate is used, and is visible in the ePO console. The reputation for the executable file remains as Not Set because the certificate is being used to determine reputation.
- Not Available: The reputation from this provider is unavailable. For example, GTI was not reachable when TIE tried to retrieve a reputation for the file. Or GTI is disabled, which results in all GTI reputations being Not Available.
