Unable to stream video over Intel Wireless Display (WiDi) when Host Intrusion Prevention is installed
技術的な記事 ID:
KB85497
最終更新: 7/16/2019 環境McAfee Host Intrusion Prevention (Host IPS) 8.0
Affected Hardware: Intel Wireless Display (WiDi) capable computers Related Technologies Intel WiDi Wi-Fi Alliance MiraCast Wi-Fi Alliance Wi-Fi Direct 問題WiDi-enabled computers are unable to stream video with Host IPS installed. The computer cannot detect or connect to WiDi devices.
原因WiDi creates an ad hoc wireless network between the computer and the display device. This network uses an independent network ID that is unknown to the Host IPS firewall. Without a network rule, the firewall blocks network connections, including WiDi traffic.
解決策This issue is resolved in Host IPS 8.0 Patch 8.
McAfee product software, upgrades, maintenance releases, and documentation are available from the Product Downloads site at: https://www.mcafee.com/enterprise/en-us/downloads/my-products.html.
NOTE: You need a valid Grant Number for access. See KB56057 - How to download Enterprise product updates and documentation for more information about the Product Downloads site, and alternate locations for some products. 回避策
You must create an allow rule. One of the following prerequisites is needed to create an allow rule:
The allow rule will not work if an appropriate IP subnet mask or process name is not provided when you create the rule. For example, suppose that the process name is set to SVCHOST or the IP subnet mask is set to 0.0.0.0. In this case, the allow rule will not work effectively because the configured process name and the IP subnet mask are not accurate. To create network rules that WiDi can use when creating the ad hoc wireless network: NOTE: These rules must be created alongside the existing rules. Do not remove any existing rules.
NOTE: The use of a wireless display likely requires that you disconnect from your wireless network connection. You might not encounter this problem when you use either a wired network connection or a second Wi-Fi adapter (USB Wi-Fi device).
