ENSM 10.x
You can disable the ENSM Threat Prevention and Firewall features from the command line during installation.
- Pass the following arguments in ePO under Products and components in the Command-line checkbox. For more information, see the "Deploy the client software from McAfee ePO" section of the ENSM 10.7 Installation Guide.
- To disable ENSM Threat Prevention:
OAS-off
- To disable ENSM Firewall:
FW-off
NOTE: Policies are enforced based on the policy that is assigned to that system during the next policy enforcement interval. If the Threat Prevention or Firewall policies are configured to enable, they are enabled after the first policy enforcement.
- If you use the ENSM standalone package, you can create the following files to prevent the Threat Prevention and Firewall features from being enabled after installation.
- /tmp/turnOffOAS
- /tmp/turnOffFW
VSMAC 9.8
You can disable the VSMAC on-access scanner (OAS) from the command line during installation.
To disable OAS for VSMAC, pass the following argument in ePO under Products and components in the command-line checkbox:
OAS-off
NOTE: Policies are enforced based on the policy that is assigned to that system during the next policy enforcement interval. If the policies for antimalware are configured to enable, they are enabled after the first policy enforcement.
