McAfee Application Control (MAC) 6.x
Microsoft Windows

Unsupported files are added to the whitelist while creating a whitelist if there is a failure in opening a file to determine its type. These files are added to the whitelist with a flag marked as deferred files.

This issue is resolved in MAC 6.2.0-480. In release 6.2.0-480, an improved mechanism is introduced to determine the file type while creating the whitelist. This resolves the issue where unsupported files get added to the whitelist.

McAfee product software, upgrades, maintenance releases, and documentation are available from the Product Downloads site at: http://www.mcafee.com/us/downloads/downloads.aspx.

NOTE: You need a valid Grant Number for access. KB56057 provides additional information about the Product Downloads site, and alternate locations for some products.
