1099814 KB86119 4.3.0 Expected behavior Issue: [OS X McAfee Removable Media Protection.app] An offline browser crash can be induced when a device is forcefully ejected from the system when an application is opened from the removable media. When the Offline browser is run directly from the USB device and the user forcefully removes the USB, the operating system crashes the process because it cannot find the image for the process.
Workaround: Quit the offline browser application before removing the USB device from the system.
1081083 - 5.0.0 Expected behavior Issue: Enterprise Policy Management (EPM) Frameworks/McAfee Reporter process fails to open the offline browser app or the initialization notification prompt, if more than one user is logged on to the OS X desktop sessions. This limitation is with EPM/McAfee Reporter.
Workaround: Open the offline browser application manually.
1084670 - 5.0.0 Expected behavior Issue: FRP on Mac OS X systems generates ePO FRP events for all volumes and partitions available on the removable media when they are connected or removed from the system.
Workaround: McAfee recommends that only one volume/partition is created on the Removable Media (USB) disk.
1084903 - 5.0.0 Expected behavior Issue: Removable Media Device initialization on Hierarchical File System (HFS) or HFS+ file system formatted removable media is slower compared to FAT or EXFAT file system types.

1253553 - - Expected behavior Issue: As of macOS Mojave 10.14, the user can select between light and dark mode themes. Dark mode theme is not supported with File and Removable Media Protection. If dark node is selected when FRP is installed, it does not update the look of any FRP components. In dark mode, some FRP user Interface components do not render appropriately, and might make reading text on the components harder.

There are no known functional issues when operating FRP with macOS in dark Mode.

Workaround: The edited files can be copied from the temporary location to the container.

  • The container size < 4 GB)
  • Was encrypted with a previous version
  • When the device is inserted into a USB port on an FRP client
The above scenario relates to the offsite access options for removable media devices.

Workaround: Mac offsite application is provisioned when the USB device is initialized on an FRP client.
954694 - 4.3.0 - Issue: For some applications such as Pages, Numbers, and Keynote, documents consist of multiple files. These multi-file documents are not saved back automatically to an encrypted container after opening via the Mac offsite application.
