Endpoint Security Help file displays in a non-default browser
Technical Articles ID:   KB86558
Last Modified:  8/15/2018

Environment

 McAfee Endpoint Security (ENS) 10.x

Problem

ENS launches the application associated with the .html extension. If the default browser is not associated with the .html extension, a different browser opens.

Solution

To associate the .html extension with the default browser, do the following:
  1. Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the file with the .html extension.
  2. Right-click the file and select Open With.
  3. Select the browser you want to have open the Help file.
  4. Click Save. The Help file now opens in the default browser.
