SiteAdvisor Enterprise does not function in Google Chrome

McAfee SiteAdvisor Enterprise (SAE) 3.5

Google Chrome

Problem

SAE functions as expected in Firefox and Internet Explorer, but does not function in Chrome.

Cause

For SAE to function in Chrome, an SAE application is launched with end user credentials. If active directory settings limit the applications an end user can launch, SAE will not function in Chrome.

To verify this is the cause of your issue, open a command prompt and attempt to run the following command:

McChHost.exe --parent-window=0 chrome-extension://cmendinpapjjojakimjlmkkkcmnojefg/

Solution

Contact your Active Directory administrator and request the administrator to create an exclusion to allow the SAE application (MCCHHOST.EXE) to run.
