McAfee Endpoint Security (ENS) Web Control 10.x

Web Control can block or warn about web pages because of rating actions, settings, or the site being on the prohibited list policy. In some cases, web page content is displayed before Web Control shows the block or warn page in the browser.

Web Control does not delay the loading of web page content while it waits for the site rating information. The content of the browser and the rating lookup are asynchronous.

This is expected behavior. Web Controls takes action only after it has obtained a rating from the Global Threat Intelligence (GTI) rating servers. In some cases, this occurs after the page has begun to load.
