In the ePO System Tree, VMs with the same Host names or MAC are mapped as one entry because they are considered to be a single system.
The following occurs when two computers are pulled into ePO with the same Host names or MAC:
- The first Virtual Machine is added.
- The second Virtual Machine is rejected because of the matching criteria. The second computer's properties are added to the first computer because the two are considered to be a single system.
From a
CWS cloud connector perspective, they are still two different systems as long as they have different user unique identifiers (UUIDs). But, they are represented as one Virtual Machine in the ePO System Tree based on their host name.
When you use the
non-default columns in ePO, it exposes in the System Tree that a Virtual Machine is mapped to two Virtual Machines in the connector tables.
