Technical Articles ID:   KB88407
Last Modified:  10/23/2018

Environment

McAfee Global Threat Intelligence (GTI)
McAfee Threat Intelligence Exchange (TIE) 2.x, 1.x

Summary

Debug logging is valuable for troubleshooting GTI issues. Use the following steps to enable TIE GTI debug logging:
  1. Open the file /opt/McAfee/tieserver/conf/tie.properties in the editor of your choice.
  2. Locate the line item gti.native.logLevel=none and change it to gti.native.logLevel=ALL
  3. Restart the tieserver service using the following command:

    service tieserver restart
The extra GTI logging will now be appended to the /var/McAfee/tieserver/logs/tieserver-start.log.
