Issue: The following error occurs during a local Host IPS for Linux installation:
file /opt/McAfee/hip/kernel from install of MFEhiplsm-.RH.i386 conflicts with file from package MFEhiplsm-kernel-.RH7.x86_64
Cause: This issue occurs when the client is installed without the --force option.
The "Installing the Linux client locally" section of the Host Intrusion Prevention 8.0 Installation Guide incorrectly states:
Run the command: rpm -i for each rpm in the order listed.
Resolution: This document must read:
Run the command: rpm -i --force for each rpm in the order listed.
