McAfee SIEM Enterprise Security Manager (ESM) 10.x, 9.6.x, 9.5.x
McAfee SIEM Event Receiver (Receiver) 10.x, 9.6.x, 9.5.x

Examining the Triggering Events tab of the Triggered Alarms table results in data not being displayed (missing).

The Triggered Alarms table corrupts when the Binary Large Object (BLOB) file exceeds a size of 2GB. When the triggeredalarm.blob file corrupts, it cannot be repaired by using the DBcheck command.

This is considered normal behavior and ESM is working as intended.

To restore the view of data in the Triggered Alarms table, reduce the number of Triggered Alarms to a manageable level by following the steps below:
  1. Log in to the ESM Web Console.
  2. Click the Alarm icon (top right) and go to the Triggered Alarm view.
  3. Select the triggered alarm that you want to delete, then click the menu icon (top left) and select Delete.
