McAfee Endpoint Security (ENS) Threat Prevention 10.x

Summary

Perform the following steps to manually download and check in ENS Exploit Prevention content updates from the McAfee CommonUpdater site.
  1. Create a temporary update folder.
  2.  
  3. Copy endpoint_detect.mcs to the update folder.
  4.  
  5. Copy all files except replica.log to the update folder.
     
    NOTE: If any of the files are missing, a Failed to open file error displays when you check the files in.
     
  6. Check the files in using the ePolicy Orchestrator 5.x repository check-in procedure below.
 
ePolicy Orchestrator 5.x repository check-in:
  1. From the ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) server, ensure that you have access to all files in your temporary update folder.
  2. Open the temporary update directory on your desktop, select all files, and zip them.
     
    NOTE: Do not include the directory, only the files. 
     
  3. Log on to the ePO console.
  4. Click Menu, Software, Master Repository.
  5. Click Check In Package
  6. Browse to the newly created .zip file containing the content update files, and click Next to check in the package.
  7. Click Save to complete the check-in.
  8. Verify that you have the correct content version in the Master Repository list.
