After installing DLP Endpoint Hotfix 10.0.250, Internet Explorer hangs or crashes on client systems. This issue occurs intermittently under normal DLP operations, and consistently when DLP Endpoint debugging is enabled.

Windows Event Viewer reports FCPLIE32.dll as the cause.


McAfee has re-posted DLP 10 Patch 2, hotfix 50 ( to the download site. This version contains the update for the latest version of Chrome (58.0.3029.110 0) and resolves the Internet Explorer 11.x issue.

Perform the following steps to prevent this issue from occurring on endpoints that have already upgraded to DLP Endpoint Hotfix 10.0.250:
  1. Open Policy Catalog.
  2. Click the active Windows Client Configuration (for example, Default Windows Client Configuration).
  3. Select Debugging and Logging.
  4. Deselect Save log messages to files.
  5. Click Apply to distribute the Windows Client Configuration policy to endpoints.
  6. After the affected endpoint systems receive the Windows Client Configuration, the end-user must terminate all iexplorer.exe instances and relaunch Internet Explorer.
