Error -2147023143: There are no more endpoints available from the endpoint mapper.

Cause

This error occurs when the McAfee Agent tries to add itself as an exception to the Windows firewall and fails for any reason. The failure could occur because the Windows firewall is already disabled, or because communication is blocked despite McAfee Agent already being excluded in the Windows firewall rules.

Solution

Ensure communication port 443 is open in your Windows firewall or change the port ePO uses for agent-to-server communication to a port you can open in your environment.

For more information about agent-to-server communication, see the "Managing agent-server communication" section in the ePolicy Orchestrator Product Guide for your version:

Workaround

Ensure that your Windows firewall is enabled, and frameworkservice.exe is excluded.

Use the documentation for your firewall product or contact your firewall manufacturer for instructions to add an exclusion for frameworkservice.exe; the McAfee Common Framework.
