You see a Random Bugcheck 3B system crash (blue screen) on Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard on systems with VSE 8.8 Patch 7.

NOTE: This issue may also apply to systems with Patch 8 installed, but to date, none have been reported.

The stack of the crashing thread indicates a call to mfehidk.sys.

Crash (.dmp) file would show the following characteristics:

This issue is resolved in VirusScan Enterprise 8.8.0 Update 9, which is available from the Product Downloads site at: http://mcafee.com/us/downloads/downloads.aspx.
