McAfee Application and Change Control (MACC) 7.0.1 Hotfix 4

Microsoft Windows 7
Microsoft Windows 2008 R2

問題

After you install MACC 7.0.1 Hotfix 4, users observe one of the following symptoms:

The system fails to boot.
Or
The system successfully loads Windows, but the MACC product fails to load (not enabled).

NOTE: This issue does not affect all systems after deploying this hotfix.

原因

Windows operating systems do not have Microsoft Security Advisory 3033929 applied. This update must be applied because MACC 7.0.1 Hotfix 4 was signed with SHA-2 certificates.

解決策

For systems that have not yet deployed MACC 7.0.1 Hotfix 4, apply the update from the Microsoft Security Advisory. For details, see (https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/security/3033929.aspx)

NOTES:

The update is automatically installed on systems that have Windows automatic updating enabled.
Customers who have not enabled automatic updating must check for updates and install this update manually. See the Microsoft article for details.

解決策

For systems that have already deployed MACC 7.0.1 Hotfix 4 and encountered an issue where the operating system fails to load:

Restart the system.
During system startup, press F8.
From the menu, select Last known good configuration.
Apply the update from Microsoft Security Advisory 3033929 (https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/security/3033929.aspx).
Deploy MACC 7.0.1 Hotfix 4.
