McAfee VirusScan Enterprise (VSE) 8.8 with or without any VSE patch For details of VSE supported environments, see KB51111. 問題
A scheduled on-demand scan that is configured via ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) and uses Windows user credentials fails to begin. The The status of Last Result under Full Scan in the VirusScan console shows Authentication Failed.
The following event might also be written to the Windows Application Event log: Event ID: 257 Level: Information Event Data Task fail to start 原因
Credentials entered at the ePO Console to run the ODS task do not have the appropriate permissions to run a scan on the target system.
解決策As a best practice. McAfee recommends that you leave the credential fields blank when you schedule an ODS via an ePO task. This action allows the ODS to use the Windows System Account on the target systems, which ensures that the scan runs without any permission issues.
