McAfee Application and Change Control (MACC) 7.x, 6.x
Microsoft Windows Vista SP2 Business (32bit)

When you attempt to install MACC in a Microsoft Windows Vista environment and use a batch file that contains the /qb+ switch, the installation fails. This is an example of the batch file command:

[start /wait setup-win-vista-2008-x86- /v" /qb+ SERIALNUMBER=XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX SHORTCUT=0 /l+*v \"%SYSTEMROOT%\S3Setup.log""]

No errors appear to indicate installation failure and no files are created under C:\Program Files\McAfee\Solidcore or under user temp directory.

The /qb+ switch is not compatible with the msiexec.exe in Microsoft Windows Vista.

Use the /qb-! or /qb!- switch when you run the installation of MACC from a batch file. For details, refer to the following link: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/aa367988(v=vs.85).aspx
