Environment

Summary

To improve the functionality of Email and Web Protection services, maintenance will be performed on Saturday, December 16, between 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM GMT. This scheduled maintenance window will result in periods of service impact for SaaS Email Protection, Web Gateway Cloud Service and SaaS Web Protection. Spam filtering and web filtering remain functional during maintenance.

Begin: Saturday, December 16, 2017 5:00 PM GMT
End: Saturday, December 16, 2017 9:00 PM GMT

Impact
  • SaaS Email Continuity UI will be unavailable. Customers in Disaster Recovery will continue to receive mail, but the ability to view and send via the Email Continuity UI will be impacted.
  • Message Audit UI will be unavailable. Customers will be unable to search in Message Audit, but all audit data is populated once the service is restored.
  • Customers will be unable to access Encrypted emails.
  • Customers will be unable to view the McAfee classified URLs as part of the ClickProtect feature using the links in their email.
  • Web Protection UI will be unavailable. Customers will be unable to log on to Control Console to undertake any administrative tasks, change policies, or view forensic logs.
  • Web Gateway Cloud Service. Customers will be able to log on to ePO, but will not be able to undertake any administrative tasks related to WGCS policies.
  • MWG Hybrid customers will be unable to change cloud policies during this time. Any local changes to the policy will be delayed in syncing to the cloud. Any access to reporting in the cloud will also be blocked during this outage.
  • The core services in the backend for Web Protection and Web Gateway Cloud Service remain available, all end-user traffic will be processed by proxy filtering. Reporting and forensics will continue to log web activity.

Solution

Full service functionality is restored after maintenance has been completed.

Maintenance can be completed before the end times specified, but the entire window is being reserved to ensure adequate support for these enhancements. During these maintenance windows, Technical Support will be available to address any unexpected issues.
