Content Change Tracking for Linux only reports file change events and no directory change events
Technical Articles ID:   KB90239
Last Modified:  2/1/2018

Environment

McAfee Application and Change Control (MACC) for Linux 6.1.7
Linux

Problem

Directory content change events are not reported in Content Change Tracking reports for Linux endpoints. File change tracking events are shown as expected.

Solution

Content Change Tracking reports for Linux support only file change events. Currently, directory changes cannot be tracked. You can still query monitoring events in the Solidcore Events page.

NOTE: ePO extension versions before 7.0.0 display an error message in the Content Change Tracking reports page. Since version 7.0.0, directory tracking is not shown in the reporting page anymore.
