In some situations, it is necessary to be able to confirm whether or not a specific Microsoft hotfix is applied. Currently, the Minimum Escalation Requirements (MER) tool does not collect a list of these installed hotfixes. One example where this information might be necessary is determining whether or not the hotfix for EternalBlue (the primary vulnerability responsible for the initial infections of the 2017 WannaCry attacks) is installed.
